New and Future-oriented Human Vaccines

IDT possesses many years of experience in the manufacture and testing of vaccines for human medicine. Our services are offered as a comprehensive processing of human vaccines from the development up to large-scale production. IDT, a global leader in MVA technology, develops new technologies for multiple in novative and promising new vaccines, for instance against tuberculosis, AIDS, and malaria. We put great emphasis on including the customer at every phase of the development and manufacturing process.

Large-scale campaign manufacture

IDT has specialised in the contract production of viral and bacterial vaccines. We are one of the few companies worldwide with the capacity for large-scale campaign manufacture of different vaccine products. Our flexible manufacturing technology makes it possible to manufacture new products at short notice. As a result, 60 million emergency reserve vaccine doses could be manufactured under contract at IDT.

The development and validation of modern test methods are also a substantial element of IDT's human vaccine portfolio. We also develop innovative cell lines covering the following processes:

State-of-the-art production facilities

Production processes using the latest biotechnology methods take place in cleanrooms with cGMP classification in two state-of-the-art manufacturing buildings for vaccine production, in which a complex was conceived of especially for the production of human viral vaccines. This facility, one of the most modern vaccine production sites worldwide, is equipped with highly innovative technologies. Due to the building‘s modern architecture and transparency, it is referred to as the „Factory of Glass". This year, it was recognized with the international „Facility of the Year" Award.

Extensive Manufacturing documentation

During vaccine manufacture, extensive information is documented in cooperation with the contract partners to guarantee the traceability of all process steps, materials, equipment and workers. Manufacturing documentation in the required detail along with the release documentation is made available to the contract giver. IDT possesses the experience and the technology to validate and implement the delivery of the vaccines via temperature-controlled and monitored transport systems in accordance with the customer's wishes. This service is provided in close cooperation with the contract giver.
